Dental implants are the challenging solution for each of the following initial situations:

• Missing one or more teeth

• Toothless jaw

An implant replaces the root of a lost tooth. After healing, crowns, bridges or prostheses are placed on the implants.

In the case of edentulous jaws, at least 6 implants are required in the upper jaw and at least 4 implants in the lower jaw in order to carry prostheses. In the case of fixed dentures, 2 additional implants are required per jaw.

Implants are usually made from titanium alloys. An incompatibility check can be carried out before planning.

Regular aftercare / prophylaxis is very important to preserve the implants.
